this year, thank you to:

- 2nd Romsey Rainbows raised £50 by doing all sorts of jobs at home from feeding their rabbits to helping around the house.

- Laurence Edwards and Rauri Edwards, (no relation) for organising numerous events at The Prebendal School, Chichester and raising the grand sum of £248.92.

- The 10th Romsey Scout Group - Mohicans Cub Pack, for their donation of £62.00, raised by the Pack with a Bring and Buy sale.

- The Friends of Romsey Area Schools Orchestra donated £80, half the proceeds taken from RASO's "Carols in the Cornmarket"

- The Elders and Members of The United Reformed Church, Romsey for their Christmas gift to George's Trust of £100.

- Those people who got involved with The Rotary Club of Romsey Test - Walk the Test Way in October last year. You raised the amazing sum of £1261.76 between you, thank you.

- The Romsey District Scouts who donated £188.01, being the collection from their Christmas Carol Service.

- 4th Romsey Brownie Pack for raising £56.17 at their production of the pantomime "Cinderella" followed by a cream tea afterwards.

- Michelle Bishop for taking part in the Romsey 5 mile run on the 24th January and raising £250 in aid of George's Trust.

- The two Year 11 boys from The Romsey School who were sponsored to have their legs waxed and raised £150 for George's Trust.

- The Romsey Trefoil Guild for their donation of £236.21 in aid of George's Trust.

- The Romsey School for donating £522.61 to George's Trust, from the Carol Service held in Romsey Abbey in December.

- Mavis Chapman for raising a total of £30.82 in her collecting boxes.

- Romsey Young Farmers who adopted George's Trust as one of their charities during 2009/2010 and raised £200.

- The former Mayor and Mayoress of Romsey, Councillor John Ray and his wife Rose, who raised the phenominal sum of £15,000 for the Mayor's Charities scheme, of which George's Trust was honoured to be a part of. The Trust received £5,000, for which the Trustees are truly grateful and thank them both for their hard work and Romsonian spirit. They also thank the People of Romsey who supported John and Rose during the year.

- To Year 10 pupils of The Mountbatten School, for raising £41.70 in aid of George's Trust by way of a cake sale.

- The Inner Wheel of Romsey Test for supporting George's Trust during the year and raising a grand total £500 to further the Trust's objectives.
 
- The Prebendal School, Chichester, PTA for donating £320, raised during their Summer Fete.

- The Southern Co-operative, who adopted George's Trust at their Central Romsey store last year and with their Community Support Card Scheme, (http://www.thesouthernco-operative.co.uk/Community_Support/community_support_card_scheme.html) raised an awe inspiring sum of £5000. The Trustees would also like to thank the members of staff who helped at some of the Trust's events during the year.

- The organisers and performers of the Mountbatten School "Summer Showcase Evening". It was the final concert of the school's varied calendar and held in aid of George's Trust. A host of talented students entertained an enthusiastic audience and raised £431 for the Trust.

- The Romsey Cricket Club for the sum of £85 taken in "fines" during their summer tour.

- North Baddesley PCC for their generous donation of £401.44, thank you.

- All the District Beavers for their truly magnificent sum of £1098.75 raised during the District Beavers' Good Turn.

- Tim Patrick for his donation of £417.67 following his exhibition of his work, "Florence Paintings 2010" in Romsey Abbey at the beginning of September.

- David Johnson for his donation of £600 which he raised by delivering one of his famous "Cordon Bleu Dinner" evenings.

- The Bear and Ragged Staff Pumpkin Club for donating £400 raised at their annual "Grand Pumpkin & Halloween Show" on October 9th in aid of George's Trust. It was a very enjoyable event and we are looking forward to next year's show.

- The students of The Mountbatten School, Romsey, the amount and quality of musical talent the youth of Romsey and surrounding areas have is truly amazing.

On Friday 19th November numerous students who attend The Mountbatten School, organised and performed in the Mountbatten Autumn Cabaret in aid of George’s Trust. Guests, parents, relatives and friends all felt the evening was very professionally delivered and enjoyed the entertainment. The evening was a wealth of music and dance delivered in a manner that would not have been out of place on the stage in a London theatre.

Students performed cover versions of tracks by Train, Lady Gaga, Katie Perry, Beyonce, A Rocket to the Moon, Adele, Steve Miller Band and many more. There were also dance pieces submitted for GCSE as well as Streetdance.

As a result of a week’s fundraising activities and the evening’s concert, the awe inspiring sum of £1600 was raised in aid of George's Trust.

- Karen Peters, who ran the Wilmslow Half Marathon in support of George’s Trust and raised an amazing £543

- Class 4, Awbridge Primary School, who raised £53.55 for the sale of “Smoothies” during 2008/2009

- Romsey Abbey C of E Primary School, for numerous fundraising activities held during 2008/2009 including their Summer Fete and a “Jail Break”.

- Aly Gough, for taking part in “The Race for Life” in memory of George.

- Lauren Coles, Jess Buss, Frankie Tripp, Kaylee Williams and Mhairi Cameron, who raised £123.65 through a sponsored walk, a cake sale and washing cars.

- The pupils of The Romsey School, for raising £157.25 during a non uniform day, organised in the summer term of 2009.

- Scott Sowton for donating his 5p collection to George's Trust. The contents of the bottle came to £20 Scott, thank you.

- The people of Romsey and the surrounding area for your support and generosity in placing a record number of Waitrose Community Matters discs in the George's Trust hopper, during the month of October 2009. Your green discs helped raise the amazing sum of £571 donated to the Trust by Waitrose Ltd.

- The Romsey Youth Theatre for a fantastic donation of £400, raised by donations given at their two performances of "A Christmas Carol" given in the United Reform Church, Romsey.

We were lucky enough to be able to attend on one of the evenings and congratulations must go the cast for a truly professional production. Thanks also to Pat & Dave Francis in their role as directors, together with those responsible for the music, costumes, properties, sound and lighting.

 - The friends, supporters and many talented helpers who made so many different items for the Christmas Market Stalls we were able to have in the Cornmarket, thanks to Bradbeers of Romsey.

The homemade items included, christmas cards, table decorations, christmas tree decorations, christmas puddings and christmas cakes, decorative glassware, christmas hampers and an army of wee rabbits!

Both days were a great success with a tremendous sum of over £800 raised.
